Raised on our
Farm with Love here in the Northeast Kingdom - Yarns milled local in
Vermont.

We sell alpaca yarn that comes directly
from our own Vermont alpaca herd. We have most of the natural colors that
alpaca fleece comes in (beige, several shades of fawn, browns and true
black). We do not dye our yarn, but sort and have it spun by animal, so we
can retain consistency of color.
All of our alpaca yarn is 100% natural alpaca fiber and we shear once a year
using a technique that does not harm the alpacas. We then sort and skirt the
fleece, and send the best to a local, "state-of-the-art" Vermont mill where
it is washed, picked, carded and spun into skeins that are mostly Fingering
weight, Sport weight or DK and light-medium worsted weight. This process
creates yarn that is beautiful and incredibly warm, breathable, soft and
durable. You can order directly on-line with your credit card, but should
call Jane to discuss your weight and color choices.
Perfect for knitting your own projects,
our yarns are from 100% American alpacas raised right here on our farm in the Northeast
Kingdom of Vermont.

shipping extra based on order - yarns available seasonally (as we tend to
sell out fast). For availability call the farm store at 802-525-4573 before
you order (raw fleece also available for hand spinners)
It is, of course, essential that you knit
up a gauge swatch before you start work on a project that involves sizing,
because not all yarns of a certain weight are exactly the same. The
difference between 12 stitches per four inches and 15 stitches is still
pretty huge when you're trying to make a sweater fit.
